I think I drew this when I did my winter commission posters. If I also recall, it took me quite a while to finish this piece. I don’t really remember why it took me so long, but it did.
This is one of my absolute favourite pieces! I periodically think about it, I love it so much. Kelly the Dreamer’s pose is super fun, the way that she’s standing and pulling her winter jacket forward. I love how her hair is flowing. I love her facial expression. Most of all, I love the colouring and the overlays!
The way I did all the layer adjustments and overlays really added depth and dimension to the picture that otherwise wouldn’t be there (most likely). Those straight lines on her hair and near her boots also add something interesting to look at. I was inspired by some Pokémon “To Be Continued” screens, which would end with an overlay similar to that.
So much fun!
