This is one of three pieces I drew of Victorina and put into a poll where people voted which one would become a print for conventions. This one lost to Victorina Under an Apple Tree.
While I don’t think this piece is necessarily bad, I don’t like it all that much. Mostly, I think it’s not in character for Victorina. I was trying to show she was a vampire by blood dripping from her mouth, but I don’t think it works very well. Like, first, off, that could just be drool for all we know (I know better, but whatever, ignoring that)! Second, it’s not really in character for Victorina. The picture that won is much more in character for her.
You see, this is not a very Victorina-like pose. Maybe if she was holding an apple or something like that, perhaps, but not like this. No.
If I were to change anything about this picture, I would remove the blood and instead have her hand that isn’t on her hip be holding an apple, perhaps to her mouth. That’s probably what I would do different next time.
What do you think of this?
