This picture lost to Seaborn with a Squid.
I more or less like how this picture looks, but I ultimately don’t like this because it doesn’t fit into the world that Seaborn comes from. There are no buoys in Naitmaric, especially not in the time period it’s set in!
I like how I drew Seaborn’s face. I also really like his overall pose. I do think the buoy though would be a bit more tilted if he was actually holding onto it.
I really like too that we can see Seaborn’s tail underneath the water. I would have liked to see how I would have achieved that. I mean, I guess I do already know because it’s not particularly difficult – I would have made that front piece of the water a separate layer and turned down the opacity a bit so we could see underneath. I think it would have been nice to see that fully coloured though.
A part of me kind of wishes I just coloured everything and let people choose from the coloured pieces, rather than the sketches, but ah well. I didn’t have time for that!
