Writing Month – Day 7

Amazingly enough, this is getting posted well before midnight. So I’m actually writing this on the day of my update. It’s for a very obvious reason as well – I have work orientation, so I won’t be able to update later.

So what am I doing? Updating early.

NaNoWriMo was obviously successful once again for me. However, writing “Stolen Personality” was not.

Love Me Softly is going better than I could ever imagine. I’m almost to 15,000 words. I feel relaxed. I’m a slightly bit worried about running out of content, but I do believe I’ll be fine. I just need to make sure everything’s not going too fast. According to the NaNoWriMo site, at the rate I’m going, I will reach the goal of 50,000 words by the 24th. I’m not quite sure if I will, but that would be amazing to me! If I can reach that and finish this book, I’ll be happy!

Of course, it’s not really anything I could go and brag to my family about simply because I am writing gay smut. I can’t be like “YEAH, I FINISHED A NOVEL” to them since it probably be like “Oh, what about?. “…about two guys falling in love.” “Oh.” “…” Even if they wanted to read it, I’m pretty sure the content would be too graphic to most of their liking.

Heck, I think in these posts I’m describing things too graphically, but HEY. That sucks for you people.

Nothing much really happened. Chris finished sucking off Alex (did I mention that last time?). Chris was very surprised with Alex’s sudden confidence and wonders about his personality (which is so important. So, so, so important). Also, we get a very slight glimpse into Chris’s workplace! Which is really boring. It was only included because he was thinking about Alex. While it’s probably one of the more boring parts of Love Me Softly, I definitely am looking forward to the rest of it.

“Stolen Personality” though. Oh my god. I am hating writing the ending. I don’t even want to write it anymore. I’m bored of it. I don’t like the ending. It feels awkward. I actually think the best thing for me to do with it right now is drop it and go back to it later.

Ugh, I hate the way the story turned out. I think it lost its nightmare land feel to it. I mean, it’s probably my fault for not actually re-reading the story of what I have so far. I really have no interest in finishing right now. I actually wanna work on my small set of Brigador stories. THOSE I have a huge interest in.

Really, I should be writing all the short stories right now that actually spring off into their own stories (whether it be books or web shows). At least those future ideas will make me feel excited and make me want to finish them. “Stolen Personality” doesn’t do that. It’s just a one time story.

Heck, I don’t even know if the country that story takes place in shows up again. It might though. I kind of like that place.

But I don’t like how “Stolen Personality” is turning out. It was fine until the Magic Cavern. Then the Magic Cavern came in and two characters and it screwed everything up. I am definitely going to have to work on it after NaNoWriMo’s over, since all I’m probably going to want to do is make everyone pair off with the same sex. I am writing a same sex love story, after all.

I don’t even want romance in most of my stories.

Uuuuggggh. I was planning on writing short stories this month, but considering the way things are going, I may move it to January.

Otherwise, I’m gonna have to write stories that do have a large presence of same-sex love. Brigador actually should be fine, especially since the king flirts with everyone beautiful. >_>

Meh. I’ll see what happens. See what I feel like.

I almost feel like my NaNoWriMo story is my priority, since if I can finish that, I can probably finish anything.

I can’t do short stories next month, since I’m dedicating that to Kelly’s Journey. I’ve put off a lot of things for a couple of months and I really want to edit those chapters I’ve been meaning to and write the new ones. I’m pretty sure I’m pushing it when I say I want to write episodes 13 to 15, but I know I could manage writing episode 13.

So yeah, that’s what’s going on with me right now.
